Bruce Power is proud to announce that it is taking the ice as an Official Partner of the Toronto Sceptres of the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL).
Last year, the PWHL captured the imaginations of the thousands of girls who play youth hockey in our local rinks, giving them a chance to cheer on their favourite players and providing a new possibility as something to shoot for in the future.
The agreement covers this season and next and will see Bruce Power featured during Toronto Sceptres games and in their coverage on CBC Television. The Official Partnership will also provide opportunities for local youth to get involved, including hockey teams from across the region getting a chance to meet a PWHL player at the Caitlyn Cobean International Silver Stick Girls C Final tournament on December 14 at the Plex in Port Elgin.
“Hockey is a big part of our community fabric here in the Clean Energy Frontier Region of Huron, Bruce and Grey Counties and we’re thrilled to be joining forces with the Toronto Sceptres to promote women’s hockey and to show young girls that they’re represented in the professional ranks by these amazing athletes,” said James Scongack, Bruce Power’s Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice-President.
Keep an eye on Bruce Power social media for more details on the December 14 player appearance as well as other PWHL partnership activations over the coming months.
